Wolverine.
Chris Redfield action figure. Instant want.
Never seen an action figure with such details, with removable cloths, exchangable accessories, and you can’t even see the joints!
It’s super expensive though :|
Partial Solar Eclipse Time Lapse Stitch
Maybe this is the only time I will ever get to see a solar eclipse in my life time, presume I stay put and never move. How can I pass this chance to document it?
Of course I can’t. That’s why I took the possibility of permeant vision damage, melting shutter blind and fried sensor and bite the bullet.
I don’t have proper solar filters, but instead I stacked a Lee Big Stopper (10-stop) and a screw-in Hoya ND400 (9-stop) ND filter. Which in research they are enough for taking the pictures of the sun. I had to control the metering on my camera to underexpose (2/3 -EV) to compensate for glares which was visible. I also had to cover the lens between each exposure to prevent permeant damage to the camera.
Stitch of 34 shots, shot in a 90 minutes period at one and half minute intervals.
Camera: Nikon D700
Lens: Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8D
Exposure program: Program
ISO: 200 - 800
I don’t think this is the best I can do with solar photography but hey, first (and possible the last) try.
Comments welcome.

And I’m digging more and more on ink/shadow/bold screen tone for the art style of Metropolis.

After years of iteration, I finally got Hyde right. He should be one of the most charismatic character in the whole story. Intelligent, reliable, studious, calm, scheming, even a little cold blooded. He’s sharp and accurate like a scalpel, yet he’s like a big brother overseeing the pack. Plus, he’s such, such a subtle bitch!
I’m feeling this is the first time I’m on the right track about this character. I’ve been used to draw tragic heroes but getting Hyde right is more challenging. You’ll know what I mean if you even just look at the last iteration of this character:

Refined some shadow details on the picture last night. The deapth is much better but still not subtile. But for now I’m somewhat satisfied.
Guess I’ll try this on other Metropolis characters.

Experiment of high contrast. Doesn’t work too much because the shadow is too distracting.
By the mean time I should start to work on Metropolis, I’ve already have such a mature story line in my brain, but all I’ve done so far is drawing one of the main character again and again. I need to get out of this status :/
Another note, I started to rumble, that means I should probably go sleep :/
